Assessor Report Instructions

Pursuant to section 575 of the Real Property Tax Law (RPTL) and the Rules of the State Board (9 NYCRR 193-4) each assessing unit is required to file an Assessor's Report for use by the State Board in the establishment of equalization rates.


Coordinated Assessment Programs

Section 579 of the Real Property Tax Law allows two or more cities or towns that are located in the same county, have the same level of assessment, and have the same assessor, to enter into an agreement to become a "Coordinated Assessment Program", or CAP.
